Abstract

Relations between art and society can be examined in a wide range of visual arts, literatüre, advertisements and design objects. This study based on sculpture which is an visual arts from four different culture and society. These samples were selected with chronological order from different community and civilization. Relations between art and society is evaluated on four different samples. These four samples of sculpture/descriptions can be increased in a way that will adress to present. Art work when analysed in chronological period we can see detailed life experience. The aim is, trying to understand the relationship between art and society and to draw attention to the dynamics of development and change of art. In this way help to make better sense of the person himself and his world. As we know it today the art is an form of knowledge. People can find the opportunity to view the properties of the majority as a humang being like inner experiences, impulses, anxieties, expectations and satisfaction of their hunger, inner and worldly needs, evil passions, such questions as life and death, justice, war and peace concepts
