Abstract

It is believed that the Village Institutes were a highly progressive step taken in terms of Atatürk enlightenment and the collective development of the village and the villager during the hardships of the Second World War conditions when 80% of the Turkish people lived in villages. This study aims to expose the sense and application of supervision at the Village Institute. The study was a qualitative research based on literature review and "document analysis" technique have been utilized.
Result of Analysis: It has been determined that, like the village institutes, the supervision system of the village institute’s are way ahead of its time and these institutes have trained unique supervision personnel, are institutions in our education history which train their own supervision personnel and constantly inspect their supervision personnel and possess applications which need to be taken into serious consideration with regards to modern Turkey’s supervision Systems.
