In recent years, cases of domestic violence have increased. The most emphasized fact in domestic violence is violence against women. It is often seen the fact of domestic violence on TV, they have been also heard crimes against women from news. These have been appeared a lot by means of effect of media. Domestic violence which have been appeared a lot with effect of media affect family life and its’ dynamics, it also may cause unrest in family. The field of family welfare is one of the fields of social work. The field of family welfare encompasses works with families, planning and providing services toward families. In the context of social work intervention, some works are carried out with women who are victims of violence. In this process, women are taken under protection with protection decision. This study aims to evaluate increasing visibility of domestic violence in media in the perspectives of family welfare and social work.
