IMPACT OF PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION SYSTEMS IN HATAY ON STUDENTS OF ISKENDERUN UNIVERSITY

Abstract

This study aims to determine the attitudes of the students of Iskenderun Technical University regarding public transportation
systems and their educational and social lives. The study group consists of 40 students studying at Iskenderun Technical
University. The data was collected by a quantitative survey method. Research is a study in the screening model. According to
the research results, students ' attitudes towards existing public transportation systems were analyzed and their expectations
measured. Since the students included in the survey were generally selected from students from outside Hatay and Iskenderun,
more objective and healthy data were tried to be reached in terms of comparison. Apart from this, in part, inter-university and
campus transportation systems are investigated and different ideas are taken from the students. In addition, the satisfaction
level of the activities of the existing local and central governments in the area of Transportation was also measured by the
survey questions.
