Underground literature is a literature that stands out with its opposition, marginal and anti-hero phenomena based on human
reality. Combining the theme of evil with irony, these types of works often include impressions of slang, sexuality and violence.
It stems from the fact that it is a canonical or an understanding of evil with a logic of philosophical ground based on its
characterization as other literature in general literature. The sensitivity of the prominent writers in the world literature and
Turkish literature is to be able to exhibit opposition to the existing system without being popular. Today, this literature continues
to develop with more novels.
In this study, the definition of the concept of underground literature underground literature by examining the characteristics of
the world and will try to locate in Turkey. In addition to its historical and sociological context, we will consider language,
technique and ideas on which it is based. We will try to examine whether it is a genre other than ‘mainstream or is it more
literature and language, its relationship with Gothic literature, the reasons for its emergence, the main sources it feeds, the
general themes it works, the characteristics of its heroes. Since the concept of underground literature and its basic features do
not yet have the same idea in everyone, we will aim to give a comparative explanation of what is said in this study and to reach
a general idea.
