APPLICATION PROCESS AND VALUE STREAM MAPPING IN A COMPANY

Abstract

In this study, it is aimed to prevent waste in the production areas of a manufacturing company and to realize a more efficient
production. In this company, which manufactures knuckle boom crane in Konya, wastes have been observed by first mapping
of the current value stream. Lean production techniques have been used to eliminate waste. With the improvements made, a
future value stream map has been created. Thanks to the new production system installed in the assembly area of the plant, a
significant reduction in waste have been achieved and the production capacity of the assembly line has been increased.
