THE EFFECT OF SOCIAL INTELLIGENCE ON LIFE ORIENTATION: GIRESUN UNIVERSITY STUDENTS SAMPLE

The study’s aim determines the effect of social intelligence on the life orientation of university students. The research was applied to 137 students' questionnaires studying in various departments of Giresun University with the face-to-face survey method according to the convenience sampling method. Erroneous and incomplete 6 questionnaires were not included in the analysis, and 131 questionnaires were analyzed. Participants were asked to respond to 2 statements about demographic factors, 21 statements about social intelligence, and 12 statements about life orientation. The obtained data were analyzed using SPSS 24 program and Amos 24 program. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the average score of the social intelligence variable was moderate and the mean score of the life orientation variable was low in university students. According to the research findings, it was concluded that the social intelligence variable had a positive and significant effect on life orientation in university students
