KARACASU POTTERY

Abstract

In this study, the geographic location of Karacasu district, historical development of Karacasu pottery, production process, used soil, production forms, raw materials and equipment used are explained in detail. In addition, the specific technical features of Karacasu pottery are mentioned.
This study was carried out to determine the visual and technical characteristics of the production samples of Karacasu district of Aydın. The study was created by compiling the data obtained from the field research. In this regard, the development of the pottery of Karacasu district in the province of Aydın was emphasized and solutions were proposed to carry pottery to the next generations.
