"Azerbaijan Yurt Bilgisi" journal, which gathered under one roof many intellectuals including Mehmet Fuat Kopruluzade, Ahmet Zeki Velidi, Abdulkadir Inan, Mahmut Ragip Gazimihal, Abdullah Battal (Taymas), Adnan Jahit (Otuken), Ayaz Ishaki, covered not only the issues related to Azerbaijan but also the issues with regard to the cultures of all Turkic peoples that needed to be observed. In some issues of this journal that investigated the national values of the Turkic peoples, articles dedicated to Azerbaijan Republic were published. These commemorative articles touched upon such topics as the historical Russian colonialism, the Congress of Caucasian Muslims, the ideas about Fatali Han Hoyski, Caucasian Turkish-Muslim Student Union activities, the abduction of Turkish prisoners from Nargin Island, the formation of National Army, national press, national literary process etc. The most important features that unite these commemorative articles, which cover different topics in different manner, include the writers’ determination, their spirit of struggle, absence of the feeling of submission and looking forward with hope. We can say that these features express the general ideological atmosphere of "Azerbaijan Yurt Bilgisi" journal and the ideas of all the refugees who believed in the collapse of the Soviets.
