Abstract

World Doing Business Index is a report issued by the International Finance Corporation, IFC) and the World Bank (WB) since 2003 which provides information on investment environments. Comparative information on tax policies, incorporation, protection of investors and legal legislation to be implemented at licensing process are included in this report. The objective of accelerating converging economy of Turkey to economies of developed countries and escaping from middle income trap permanently is supported by comprehensive reform efforts in economical and social fields. Within this scope, different than the previous development programs, "the Primary Conversion Programs" have been established in the Tenth Development Plan. In this study, the general status of our country in years based on Business Index will be taken into consideration within the scope of "the Action Plan on Developing Business and Investment Environment" included in the Tenth Development Plan and it will be finalized by evaluating the recent activities towards developing investment environments
