THE STATUS OF ACHIEVING THE GOALS OF THE MUSIC EDUCATION PROGRAMME ABLE TO MAKE ACCOMPANIMENT SKILL

This study aims to determine the goal of programme “able to make accompaniment school songs” which is one of the objectives of course; "Harmony - Counterpoint - Accompaniment” in Programme of Music Education.
Source scanning and descriptive methods have been used in this study. In the source scanning section ” documentary scanning” has been made to obtain the necessary knowledge. As for the application part, it has been done both in universities which are the working group students. An “Expert Opinion Form” has been prepared by the researcher and some teaching staff in the different ranks in different universities have been asked to verify tones and whether school songs are written or not in the correct degrees.
The research’s study groups Pamukkale, Dokuz Eylül, Muğla Sıtkı Koçman and Adnan Menderes Universities constitute 4th grade students studying in branches of music education. They were asked to accompany the school songs specified in the working group.
As the result of the research concluded that, the tones of the songs were determined correctly in high levels by the students and the songs were accompanied in correct degrees in a great extent and partially and the accompaniment model used the most frequently is the one which is model of playing same time in basic situation or conversation situation in case of whole note of the chord voices.
