Creation of meaning in cinema reveals the relationship between content and form. While the formal structure is being constructud, the basic elements of cinema such as, color, light, scale of shots, camera angles are taken in consideration and cinematography is being created. Cinematography mainly involves the production of images recorded in motion picture films in accordance with some technical preferences and all the efforts to create meaning. The visual language of Pixar which is one of the largest animation produces in Hollywood makes cinematic narrative stylistically interesting for audience. This is related to the coherence of the script with the visual text. While the visual text is being produced, the narrative and visual signs should be compatible with each other. The aim of this study is to show how image editing is done in Pixar’s short animated film Boundin. Thus, it can be understood how the visual expression language of animated films, which have become popular in recent years, is constructed. For this purpose, the forms of use of the formal structure have been analysed and it has been reached the end of constructed the filmm narrative with the formal elements such as color, light, scale of shots and camera angles by creating an integral structure.
