Abstract

The aim of this study is to examine the opinions of university students about substance addicted individuals with some variables.
This study, the findings and results of the necessary analyzes made as a result of the data obtained as a result of the interviews
with the participants and some questions compiled from the literature and demographic information prepared by the researcher
are given below.
This research is based on a quantitative research design. The population of the study consisted of students who were studying
at Selçuk University, and the sample was determined as 1000 randomly selected individuals and their data were obtained.
The participants in this study, "the most life in their lives place" when looking at the variable; It was determined that 14.4% of
them answered as village-town, 26.2% as district-city and 59.4% as province-big city.
When the family economic situation ın of the participants in this study was examined; They stated that 10.4% was 500TL1500TL, 37.4% was 1501TL-2020TL, 19.5% was 2021TL-3000TL and 22.7% was 3001TL and above.
As a result, university students or young people, who are the most important members of the society, are also considered as the
most important reflectors of the society's point of view. In this context, most of the participants in the study have negative
perceptions and thoughts about substances addicts.
Therefore, in the light of the results it is thought that substance users addicts are excluded or stigmatized by the society.
