VISITOR PREFERENCES FOR THE KIZILCAHAMAM SOĞUKSU NATIONAL PARK’S DAILY RECREATION AREAS

Abstract

The aim of the study was to determine the reasons why the visitors prefer Kızılcahamam Soğuksu National Park recreation
areas, the evaluations of the visitors about the qualifications of the facilities and services in the national park and the general
satisfaction levels of the national park. Questionnaire was applied to 462 visitors. The data obtained from the study were
evaluated with SPSS 16 statistical package program using statistical techniques appropriate for the purpose of the research.
The reasons why visitors prefer these areas; picnicking, hiking, taking photos, cycling. For the visitors, “ Number of Toilets
and Hygiene of Toilets, Lighting and Number and Quality of Clean Water Resources (Çeşme) “are the most inadequate
services. For the visitors, “ Number and Quality of Food and Beverage Businesses” was the most adequate service.
