ANALYSIS OF THE FINANCIAL PERFORMANCES OF THE PARTICIPATION BANKS WITH CAMELS EVALUATION SYSTEM BY TOPSIS METHOD

Nowadays, banks are the one of the most fundamental elements of the financial systems. The financial structures of banks should be measured and evaluated accurately, and the results should be analyzed salubriously and presented to the relevant users. In the study, analysis of financial performances of participation banks -which have ever-increasing mark in Turkey and the world is made with TOPSIS method and by using components of CAMELS rating system which is commonly used for conventional banks. In this context, five-quarter data of two public and three private equity participation banks operating in Turkey are used. As a result of this analysis, the individual financial performance values of each participation bank are found and a success rating is made by comparing them to the values of other participation banks
