ASSESSMENT OF HOMOPHOBİA LEVELS OF STAFF EMPLOYED FOR ASDEP

As of 2016, The Ministry of Family and Social Policy has begun to employ staff under the Family Social Support Program (ASDEP). Many of the different professional groups employed under this program serve to the community with the aim of "improving living conditions". At this point, LGBTI individuals, as one of the groups that form the society, are naturally entitled to benefit from these offered services. In this research, it is aimed that levels of homophobia ofthe personnel employed under ASDEP that can be reflected in attitudes and behaviors during their serving to LGBTI individuals are assessed. Within the context of the research, 171 people were called and general demographic information were obtained through socio-demographic information form, and then Hudson and Ricketts Homophobia Scales were given to these people and their levels of homophobia were measured. Participants live in different provinces of Turkey and their ages varies between 22 and 43 years. Biological gender of 128 participants is female and 43’s is male. In accordance with the aim of the research, the contents of the answers given to socio-demographic questions were evaluated in terms of the homophobia levels of the participants. The results revealed that different occupational groups employed under ASDEP have different homophobia levels and educational situation of mother- father, sex are other factors affecting the homophobia level.
