The origin of the Sıbyan Schools, which is our traditional educational institution, extends to the Seljuks. In these schools where religious education was given, other basic education courses were also given. Founded in order to provide education to the students in the Ottoman Empire, the Sıbyan Schools, which are important educational institutions in the Ottoman society, could not be improved by changing the social and political structure in time and became unable to meet the social demands. Sıbyan schools have survived until the late Ottoman period and presence with the establishment of the Republic of Turkey has ended. In this study, the basic architectural and structural system features such as settlement, planning and construction of the primary schools were discussed and a general investigation was made in the context of the educational building
