Abstract

The development of Turkism in the Ottoman Empire is based on the necessity of experiencing some political transformation and maturation process. Indeed, the Ottoman Empire tried to reestablish a union between nations and his power against the West since the 18th century. But the Ottomans, who could not fulfill this purpose, did not prevent the separations due to the influence of nationalist ideas emerging from the French Revolution. When it is understood that this situation can not be prevented, Turkism has been tried to be constructed as a necessity, borth socially and politically in order to preserve and maintain its existence.
