Individuals acquire spending habits depending on income that they earn and establish a certain standard of living in proportion to their income. However, it is not only the current income level that determines the consumption-saving decisions of the people, but also the revenues that they expect to achieve during their lifetime. Accordingly, consumers tend to use their past savings or future income today. Spending on future income in the near future can only be realized using a consumer credit or credit card. This is the result of timely or delayed payment of debts of credit card users. In this study, it was investigated the effects of demographic characteristics such as education level, age, marital status and sex of the individuals who have paid their credit card debts or delayed payments, on payment status. Existing 30000 data were classified using the decision tree technique in the SPSS Clementine program. At the end of the examinations, it was observed that those who delayed the payment of credit cards were at the undergraduate and vocational college level, and those who are older than 30 are married as the majority. Also, it was found that 55% of credit card users who are late paying and have a graduate degree don't pay their debts
