Divan poetry has been influential in Turkish literature for nearly six centuries, has produced a large number of poets, produced works, has a special subject, style, voice and tradition of saying. However, in the years when Turkish intellectuals and writers turned their faces to the West, the Divan poem, which took its sources of nutrition from the Eastern literatures, gradually began to be discredited. Nevertheless, it is never possible to say that this old poetry tradition has completely disappeared. In the twentieth century, after the Second New Movement, especially in the works of many poets, a new composition was created by using Divan poetry and modern poetry elements together. In this study, it will be investigated whether there are traces of the tradition of Divan literature in the poems of Attila İlhan, one of the most important poets of Turkish poetry of recent period
