Abstract

In this study, the analogy of employee contentment level of elementary school teachers who have worked in public schools and boarding schools was purposed. The population of the study was comprised of teachers working at boarding schools and primary and secondary schools. A total of 300 teachers working in districts of Ağrı and representing rough population participated in the study. Being employed simple random sampling method in public survey a total of 300 teachers of which 150 at boarding schools and others 150 at public schools comprised.
At the end of the research, the findings revealed that while inner contentment of teachers working at boarding and other public schools was high level, their exterior contentment was moderate level. When employee contentment was evaluated, it was found out that while employee contentment of teachers working at boarding schools was moderate level, employee contentment of others working at public schools was high level. Furthermore, that was found that the level of general employee contentment, inner contentment and exterior contentment of teachers working at boarding schools were lower than the others working at public schools and there was no difference between the level of general employee contentment, inner contentment and exterior contentment of male-female teachers. That was also found that inner contentment level of teachers was lower than the others’ between the ages 43-50.
