Hobby gardens are small agricultural areas that allow urban people living away from natural areas to interact with soil and plants in their free time. Hobby gardens provide the opportunity for people to produce crops, as well as for regressive, economic, ecological and social activities. In this study, hobby garden designs are considered as an alternative for university campuses which have an important place in urban open green area systems. For this purpose, the campus of the Karadeniz Technical University was selected as a study area and suitable areas for hobby gardens were determined on the campus
