Abstract

Individuals use verbal and written narration in their daily lives. Writing mistakes made in written narration that have an important place in expression of the individual influence the individual's understanding of life and the correct acquisition of language skills. The aim of this research is to determine the level of writing mistakes of pre-servive Turkish teacher. For this purpose, qualitative research designs were used in this study. The sample of the research was a 120 undergraduate students of Turkish Education Department who are studying at a state university in the Marmara region. In the study, data were collected via semi-structured interview form and analyzed through descriptive analysis. According to the result of the research, it was seen that the level of the mistakes made by the Turkish teacher candidates is high. It is seen that the mistakes made vary according to the word, not the class level and the sex.
