Abstract

Elimination of quality problems in secondary vocational education in Turkey nowadays and dissemination efforts are continuing. In order to support this struggle, it is aimed to measure the student-focused expectations and perceptions of 12th grade students who study in accounting and finance in secondary education in terms of skill training service quality in business. Firstly, expectations of the students were determined by using SERVQUAL method. By the end of the training, the same students' perceptions were determined using the same expressions. It has been determined that the expectations and perceptions from the quality of service of the students who are as the subject and as the client of the skills training in the business. The research was conducted with the participation of 426 students who received skills training in the 12th class business. The research was carried out in a total of five Vocational and Technical Anatolian High Schools, three in Istanbul, one in Eskişehir and one in Kütahya. An ANOVA test was also conducted to determine whether participants' demographics differed significantly in their perceptions and expectations of skills training service quality. As a result of the analyzes, significant differences were found in the quality of service perception dimensions, while there were no significant differences in expectation dimensions of the students' internship place (training institution), education district and vocational high school preference variables.
