Renewable energy sources consist of wind energy, solar energy, hydroelectric energy, biomass energy, geothermal energy and, hybrid energy systems. Today, the choice of location in the installation of renewable energy systems is an important decision problem. At the same time, choosing the best alternative from renewable energy sources is also an important problem. There are many studies in the literature on renewable energy, energy planning, energy supply/demand, and energy prediction models. In recent years, multi-criteria decision-making methods have been widely used in solving problems related to renewable energy sources. In this study, to determine the most appropriate alternative renewable energy, with multi-criteria decision-making methods, the literature in the last twenty years, studies related to Turkey, has been revised. In the use of multi-criteria decision making in renewable energy systems, a gradual approach is applied. These include selecting criteria, weighting those criteria, evaluating alternatives and final combining. In the literature on energy supply systems, technical, economic, environmental and social criteria are used.
