Abstract

Sezai Karakoç is a name mentioned in the "Second New" movement which appeared in the mid-1950s and pointed out a great break in Turkish poetry. But he, stands at a different point than other members of this poetry movement, especially in terms of ideas and worldview. The intellectual background of Karakoç's works, as well as the original line of poetic art, has been influential in this. As a matter of fact, in addition to being a highly equipped intellectual in terms of cultural accumulation, Karakoç is an idea worker who thinks about the problems of geography and the ways of solving these problems. The concept of "resurrection" he uses when revealing his thoughts on the state and future of the Islamic world is also remarkable. According to Karakoç, the Islamic civilization, which has moved away from its glorious days, will be revived by showing a struggle for development in every way. Karakoç frequently referred to the resurrection in his essays. However, it can be said that his poems whose artistic values are higher texts can not be read independently from this intellectual infrastructure. It is possible to catch the traces of the thought of resurrection in almost every poetry book from his earliest period to his final period. But the book of poetry called Alınyazısı Saati in 1989 is a much better example in this context. Because, with this book, the poet makes determinations and assessments of the world of the Islamic world. Then he developed a hopeful view of the future and emphasized that the resurrection is possible with a total resistance awareness. The poet invites a blessed resistance to the Muslim peoples who are exposed to the imperialist attack from the West and from the East. According to him, this resistance will both build their own civilization and open doors of peace for humanity.
In this study, Sezai Karakoç's book of poetry named Alınyazısı Saati will be taken into the center and the poet's findings and analyzes related to the Islamic world will be mentioned. It will also be emphasized how the idea of resurrection and resistance is reflected in these poems.
