IMAGE OF A PROPHET IN THE FILM “NOAH”

Abstract

Cinema is one of the most effective means of communication today. It is also an influential tool of education for it provides easy access to large crowds in short times and leaves slow but lasting affects in the society and causes behavioral changes in human beings. In this article, the image of a prophet has been analyzed from an Islamic perspective in the film “Noah”, released in 2014. Character traits of Noah in the film have been analyzed from the aspects of his human character and prophethood. In the film, many scenes, which are not suitable to the Islamic criteria of prophethood, have been detected
