SHOULD WE INSTITUTIONALISATION? SHOULD NOT WE INSTITUTIONALISATION? A QUALITATIVE RESEARCH ON FAMILY ENTERPRISES

Abstract

The aim of the study is to evaluate the opinions of family business owners intended for institutionalize in family businesses. In this context, in-depth interviews were conducted with 15 family business owners in the province of Bursa/İznik and content analysis was applied to the data. Institutionalized views of family business owners have been evaluated the dimensions of organizational structure, human resources management, strategic management, marketing function, conflict management, professionalization, control and evaluation. The awareness of family business managers about institutionalization has been determined and suggestions have been made to increase this awareness.
