Nowadays, the problems related with changing social structure and the needs of psychiatric help are increasing. The approach of Motivational Interview which is short term, low learning and easy applicative is gain currency to keep in step with the rapid changes. Motivational interviewing is a technique that is frequently used by psychologist and psychological consultantas a consultant. When it is used in a proper manner the compliance of the client and the success of the intervention is enhanced. Use of the technique is preffered especially if the client is in a hesitancy for any decision. The main components of the technique are; defining the ambivalance of the client and emphaty. Motivational interviewing is a counseling technique that focuses on exploring and resolving ambivalence while expressing emphaty and supporting change in a manner congruent with the person's own priorities. This technique is used for almost all behavior change. If the technique is properly used, decision of the client can be reached by supportting the client's wright choises.
