Abstract

As a form of song, which has firstly been performed in Turkey, it is in form of verses and grinds out in order to be composed. For the song, it is possible to say that, it was started by Nâ’ilî in 17 th century, then it was in vogue by Nedim and rose with Şeyh Gâlib, and it has survived until today as a branch of Turkish Art Music with the contribution of many music masters. Şeyh Gâlib,who lived in 18 th century, was one of the most important person in Ottoman poetry. He demonstrated skills in not only mesnevi and gazelle, but also branch of musics. That song of his, which is about to be paraphrased, is the most popular one among his work of arts. The poem, which is being talked about, is consist of five subparagraphs. The plot tries to tell us an unshaken darkness about a love affair which is consist of loyalty. The poem gives place to many rich associations and sufistic symbols which make reader not to be easily able to determine who the beloved person is. Hereby, it is clearly understood that, that song was approached in order to address to everyone who has the same disposition at the same time. The purpose of why we are paraphrasing this song, which has prosed to today’s Turkish in many books, is to contribute to update the refined culture and pleasure of ours
