Abstract

In this study, it was aimed to reveal the general view by investigating the frequency of injuries, the regions where they experienced disability and the causes of the candidates preparing for the Physical Education and Sports School Special Talent Exams in Mardin. All participants were selected from the preparatory courses in Mardin. There are 59 male and 50 female participants aged between 17 and 33. In order to reveal the disability status, a questionnaire form was created by making use of the examples in the literature. The results were analyzed with the SPSS 24.0 package program. 86 participants suffered injuries during the exam preparation period (45 men-41 women). The highest rate of injury was seen in women with 82%. The most common type of injury was sprain with a score of 30. It was determined that the most common injury area was the foot region with a score of 53. Looking at the causes of injury, injury as a result of careless movement has the highest score. Participants with a professional league background experienced the most ground-related injuries.
