In recent decades, economic circles have come to accept entrepreneurship as a source of employment and prosperity, playing a major
role in the development of any nation. Many government agencies and private financial institutions support entrepreneurs and provide
them with consultancy services. The Small and Medium Enterprises Development Organization (KOSGEB) has been providing
increasing amounts of support to entrepreneurs. One form of support provided by KOSGEB are its subsidies for new entrepreneurs.
KOSGEB can extend loans of up to 150,000 TL to new entrepreneurs who come up with a business idea. One of the prerequisites to
be entitled to such as loan is taking the applied entrepreneurship training provided by KOSGEB. The objective of the present study is
to investigate the correlation between the applied entrepreneurship training offered by KOSGEB, and the entrepreneurial outlook which
manifests itself as a combination of innovativeness, entrepreneurial ambition, disinclination to work as a wage earner, and
determination. The study found that the training provided by KOSGEB has a positive impact on the entrepreneurial ambition and
determination of potential entrepreneurs, but not on their innovativeness and disinclination to work as a wage earner
