Abstract

The picture, which is one of the simplest, most effective and easiest expressions of emotions, thoughts, fantasy worlds, which reflects the inner world of the individual, has a fairly large prescription in childhood when it can be expressed in the easiest way. The picture, which is a non-verbal language that helps people express themselves more easily, has an effective prefix in the definition of people with mental retardation who are difficult to communicate verbally as well as in children. Muhammet Yalçın, 70 percent mentally retarded and unable to speak, is a young painter, aged 27, at the age of 6 as a developmental age. His family has taken one year of art education at the Contemporary Special Education Application Center. Yalçın has transformed the inner and outer walls of his house into paintings of his own style and figures with his own style and figures when he was unable to raise canvas because of the inadequacy of his family due to the love of painting of the mentally handicapped painter Mohammed Yalcin. Muhammad, discovered by the painter Aaron Antakyalı, opened the exhibition by painting on the canteen walls of the school with the encouragement of painter Antakyalı, and thanks to this success, Muhammet, whose education ended due to his age, was invited again to the school. He is one of the few artists with mental disabilities in the world. Painters who painted the inside walls of the house where they lived without leaving a space and went to the exterior walls of the house were first discovered by the photographers and studies were started to make the museum to be the house where they lived then tried to announce the voice of Muhammet with the signature campaign and various introductions. His works attract attention with his vivid and clear use of color. Muhammet's paintings, which use every area of the canvas in a balanced and full way, create colorful decorative compositions composed of human and animal figures, flowers and various geometric shapes. The study used a case / case study that was defined as an intensive and detailed description and analysis of one or more cases. A descriptive analysis technique in qualitative research techniques was applied. The research data consisting of the artist's own paintings are grouped as figurative and decorative according to the subjects. These grouped pictures were evaluated in terms of the artistic arrangement elements and principles created by the researcher
