Türkçe Caravan Solutions from the Perspective of Interior Architecture in the Context of Mobile Space

Abstract

Since the beginning of their existence, humans have required spaces to sustain their lives in the natural environment. As societal advancements and technological progress continue, the notion of space has been diversified. The state of mobility, which has impacted all domains, including the field of architecture, has led to the evolution of the concept of mobile spaces. Particularly, caravans, traditionally associated with gypsies and nomads, have gained increasing popularity and have become a favored device choice across various social strata. Contemporary factors such as the pandemic and natural disasters have further contributed to the rising prominence of caravans. this study focuses on caravan design within the realm of mobile spaces. Within the scope of elective courses offered to second-year students, caravan design was conducted. The primary objective of this study is to undertake multidimensional caravan design endeavors that gather empirical data within a scientific framework, and incorporate sustainability aspects. The conclusive section of the study presents 10 proposed caravan designs.
