Manuscript in the Library of Raşit Efendi (Kayseri) Mikleps of the Quran

Abstract

Raşid Efendi Library in Kayseri province; is in the building adjacent to Cami-i Kebir (Great Mosque). Manuscripts of the Quran in the library of Raşit Efendi; bindings, marbling, illuminations, etc. It has been handled by researchers in terms of the subject of these works, but there are not enough publications on the miklep of these works. According to the research thirty-one manuscripts of the Quran are under protection in the Raşit Efendi Library, and only thirteen of them have miklep. By going to the library, the permission forms for the research were filled, the miklep of the Qurans were photographed and their measurements were taken with a ruler. All these processes were carried out under the supervision of library staff since the books are rare examples. As well as the manuscripts of the library, the doorknobs on the double-winged entrance door are good examples of metalworking, and the inscription of El-Fettah in symmetrical Arabic letters draws attention. Linden wood was used in the wooden decorations on the door of the library. The manuscripts, which are a unique treasure for Kayseri and our country, have survived to the present day by preserving the manuscripts in the library.
