Abstract

The rapid development of science and technology has necessitated an industrial change in every field. In order not to lag behind the times, updating education and training models with technological developments is an ongoing situation for all countries to closely follow these developments and integrate them into their own systems. With the spread of online education environments, methods and techniques in learning activities have changed. It is aimed that the learners in the role of the trainer as a guide are individuals who actively ask questions, research, and solve problems in the process. In this study, the effects of cooperative learning-based group work on the academic achievement and motivation of secondary school students in online learning environments with the applications used in robotic coding lessons are investigated. Our research was carried out by examining existing sources and documents and examining previously studied theses as subjects and methods. This research, which will examine national and international research published in the field of online robotic coding education, has been prepared with the literature review method. It has been understood that the students are more active in the course and perform the problem-solving steps with trial and error methods when they work with groups in online environments. It has been understood that the interactive sharing between them during collaborative work by helping each other in the peer learning virtual environment has a high effect on their motivation, and as a result, it has a positive effect on their academic success. The result of the research, and suggestions was made based on the studies in the literature.
