Abstract

Today, needs are increasing incredibly, and yet our resources are rapidly decreasing. Time is one of our decreasing resources. Time is a continuous, progressive and unstoppable resource that all people have equally. All people have possessed time without paying any material or moral price. For this reason, people generally waste time by using it excessively and without knowing its value. People often complain that they have too much work to do and that they cannot do it because they do not have enough time. However, all people have the same time period when they wake up in the morning. People who are successful in time management by making good time planning are able to complete their work. People are successful in their goals according to their time management abilities. In other words, people who manage time well are able to complete their work, while people who fail in time management fail by not being able to do their work as planned. It is impossible to think of the work we do in life separately from time. Starting time management early is the first and most important step in time management. In fact, time management means managing oneself over time. Because it is never possible to stop time, slow down, or shape time. However, it is possible to plan ourselves in time periods and place our work in existing time periods. Additionally, time is of greater importance in the field of education. Because education is the basis of all work. Therefore, time management in education is of great importance in achieving the goal of other tasks. For these reasons, the purpose of this study is to examine what time management means in the first place, how it should be planned and used, what updates should be made from today's perspective, and how it will contribute to our lives. In addition, it is aimed to examine why and how they need to be updated today, instead of classical time management, and to investigate how this subject can be useful for educators.
