Abstract

Vodka is the purest drink among the distilled spirits produced for centuries. Vodka, one of the most consumed alcoholic beverages, has deep and different meanings for the Russian nation. Based on the importance of vodka in the world, this study aims to provide information about the place and culture of vodka in Russian history. In line with this aim, secondary sources were used to obtain data. As a result of the study, it was determined that vodka is an integral part of Russian history and that Russian administrations exhibited different attitudes regarding vodka production throughout the historical process and that vodka took part in many areas of life in Russia.
