Abstract

In today's fast-paced business environment, managers rely on accurate and timely information to make informed decisions. Management Information Systems (MIS) play a crucial role in collecting, storing and distributing data across an organization. With the emergence of artificial intelligence (AI) technologies, traditional MIS systems are being retrofitted and enhanced to provide more intelligent, efficient and effective solutions. In this study, the areas of use, positive effects, challenges and limitations of AI applications in MIS are examined. After a general literature review, the future state of AI and MIS collaboration is discussed and some recommendations are presented.
