HUMOR IN EDUCATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS

Abstract

Humor, which is a product of sharp intelligence, is an entertaining, thought-provoking and questioning consciousness function, which is made spontaneously with human emotions. It enables us to look at the positive and negative situations in the society we live in with a realistic eye, laughing. Why do we laugh at what this looking function actually is? It also answers the question. Humor is used in many fields. One of these areas is education. It is a tool that enables students to learn with pleasure and willingness by creating a positive atmosphere in the learning environment. It ensures the existence of a positive school climate and culture in educational organizations. The way school administrators use humor also affects the behavior of teachers and other officials working at the school. In this research, humor and humor in educational organizations were discussed. In this context, the definition of humor, the historical development of humor, the place of humor in educational organizations, the benefits of humor and the harms of humor are discussed respectively.
