Abstract

Inclusive leadership aims to create an inclusive environment within the organization by considering different perspectives and appreciating the diversity of employees. Sustainability strategies assist organizations in achieving long-term success by balancing economic, social, and environmental factors. Employees may feel more connected to the organization when they contribute to sustainability goals within the organization. Therefore, this research was conducted to uncover the impact of inclusive leadership and sustainability strategies on employee commitment. In line with this objective, the study was conducted through qualitative research with a sample of 20 managers working in construction machinery manufacturing companies in Ankara, selected using the convenience sampling method. The results of the study suggest that employees' perceptions of inclusive leadership and sustainability strategies enhance a sense of belonging, employee commitment, productivity, and awareness. Furthermore, the essential elements of inclusive leadership identified in the study include diversity, creating an inclusive environment, promoting development, and fairness, and fostering trust and belonging. Additionally, the study highlights the importance of recognition, belonging, teamwork, and respect for diversity as codes of inclusive leaders' roles in employee commitment. The findings of this study can assist in identifying more effective strategies to increase employee commitment within organizations and create a more sustainable environment.
