Abstract

This research has been studied for determining nine- and ten-years old students’ perception of nature through their stories written about Nature. The research has been done on 30 students studying at Cahit Zarifoglu Primary School in Selcuklu Konya district. The stories are analyzed by using descriptive analysis through qualitative research techniques.

As a result of the study, the students state nature as the village, picnic area, green fields, forest, seaside, lakeside, lake, and schoolyard. The students perceive nature as a whole. In addition to these results, the students think that humans cause natural and environmental pollution and children challenge with the pollution in their stories.
