In space designs for children, it is necessary to design by taking into account the physical and psychological needs of children. With the reinforcement elements designed for children, children feel safe and help them experience a sense of freedom. These spaces designed for children are places such as the child's room, children's libraries, kindergartens, primary schools, playgrounds of cafes or shopping centers, children's bookstores. Playing games and reading children's books are important factors in the development of children's imagination. Having a happy time in children's bookstores will support the children to make good memories about the books and to make their own choices. In this study, children's bookstores will be examined in terms of their functions and the formal features of their reinforcement elements. Literature research was carried out as a method, and 4 children's bookstores in the Istanbul Kadıköy region were examined. These spaces were examined in terms of functional and formal features and information was obtained from the officials. The study aims to examine the anthropometric and ergonomic elements used in these spaces designed for children and the functioning of the space and to examine the psycho-social needs of children in spaces with examples.
