Abstract

Unlike the First Karabakh War, the active use of intelligence tools during the Second Karabakh War seriously affected the course of the war.  Especially the large-scale use of air intelligence has been of great importance in terms of intelligence and warfare. In this study, the importance, success, and failures of air intelligence in Azerbaijan were investigated. For this research military investigations and academic researches have been used. It is a qualitative research-based study. This study was accomplished by analyzing the work of historical and military geniuses. Air intelligence, which is the most important branch of intelligence, was analyzed in the study. Afterward, the history of air intelligence was studied. In the study, the historical background of air intelligence was established and the evolution of air intelligence was analyzed. In the researches: institutional printed studies, journals, and articles published on digital platforms were used. The study is based on three basic historical events. These are the First and Second World Wars and the Second Nagorno-Karabakh War. Comparison: It was made within the framework of the First and Second Nagorno-Karabakh War between Azerbaijan and Armenia.
