Migration as a dynamic concept is affected and transformed by conditions in different contexts. Through migration, individuals and groups from different cultures are to interact with each other. In order to understand this situation, social scientists have dealt with the phenomenon of migration, especially in the last 50 years, theoretically analyzed it, and tried to develop migration policies. So as to examine this phenomenon of migration in-depth, this study offers a meta-analysis of the concept of migration. Besides, the historical developments of major migration theories referring to the close connection of migration and labor such as Ravenstein's Laws of Immigration, Push-Pull Theory, Petersen's Theory of Migration, Center-Environment Theory, Dual Labor Market, and New Economic Theory have been compiled and discussed
