The exaggerated structure, which exists in the figurative depictions from the cave walls to the ancient period and then to the Renaissance, showed similarities with today's caricature understanding and was seen as the first example made in this field. In the following process, caricature spread to plastic arts with the developing interdisciplinary artistic perspective. Animals, which are frequently used in ceramics and caricature, which is one of these fields, have come to the fore in three-dimensional figurative expressions in our country as well as in the world. Within the scope of the research, the emergence of the caricature, its development processes in the world and in our country, and the role of animal figures here were discussed, and examples from the works of contemporary Turkish ceramic artists who carried out their artistic productions on cartoonized ceramic animal forms in order to convey their messages or stories to the audience through their works were examined.
