The covid-19 epidemic is a widely discussed crisis with its socio-economic effects as well as its effects on human health. Particularly in this period of crisis when almost all segments of the society were dreadfully affected, there has been an increase in the social problems in the scope of social policy both in the narrow and broad sense. In this study which concentrated on this development and preferred literature review, social aid-based social policies implemented in Turkey during the Covid-19 period have been trying to be examined comparatively based on the official reports and OECD. In the first phase of the study, a general perspective on income and living conditions has been drawn, later on, the quality of the social aids and the data on social expenses have been discussed through official statistics, and in the last phase, social aids have been compared periodically at Turkey and OECD level. Data gained in this study show that Turkey has been trying to respond to socio-economic effects created by Covid -19 decisively however, this performance is under the OECD average.
