EXAMINING THE BOOK “BASIM YAYIN TEKNIGI VE ISLETMECILIGI” BY OKTAY DURAN IN TERMS OF LANGUAGE AND EXPRESSION

Abstract

The use of language in accordance with the rules and the forms of expression used in written texts directly affect the quality of the text. If the work in question is a book, especially a textbook, these are the elements that need to be carefully considered. If the work in question is a book, especially a textbook, these are the issues that need to be carefully considered. In this study, Oktay Duran's book “Basım Yayın Tekniği ve İşletmeciliği” has been examined in terms of language and expression. The data obtained by the document analysis method shows that the descriptive narrative style is used effectively in the book. In terms of language, it has been determined that the book contains very few errors in the use of punctuation marks and is in compliance with the spelling rules. In this sense, it has been concluded that the book, which contains detailed information about the printing and publishing technique and is thought to be very useful for those who study or research in this field, is sufficient in terms of language and expression.
