A RESEARCH ON INSURANCE WITH THE REALITY OF EARTHQUAKE AND ITS EFFECTS ON THE ECONOMY

Abstract

Rapidly growing economic activities, overpopulation, environmental destruction and, on the other hand, the earth's crust that is constantly rocking like a cradle. Various measures have been proposed to protect ourselves from the earthquake, which has a very high impact on our daily life, our psychological level, both on individuals, societies and the economies of countries. While most of these measures are structural measures and studies to be carried out at the planning level, another measure appears as insurance activity. People who can save their lives as a result of natural disasters are in danger of being deprived of the opportunities they have. Insurance activities will come to the rescue of the person in such a situation. Unfortunately, the level of awareness about insurance has not developed enough in our country. This study will create awareness about insurance activities. In addition, general information about the earthquake is given in the study. The effects of the earthquake on the country's economy were investigated. It is focused on the insurance activities made on earthquakes in Turkey. The results of the survey conducted on 148 vocational school students were examined.
