Abstract

Although a human continues his life after birth, he is included in a certain education process. Education is a process in which people learn continuously throughout their lives and is never completed. It aims to develop people's skills and learn new information, ensures that they are successful in society and its environment, and is involved in different fields of science. One of these fields of science is entomology. Entomology embraces research primarily on moths, insects, and butterflies. Studies of entomological science have been accepted by a huge following, with individuals, scientists, naturalists, and expert educators. In the field of entomology, insects are invaluable in performing their essential ecosystem-related tasks such as defending the natural environment, disrupting the whole, covering manure with soil and providing aeration, and providing food for other wildlife. In this research, it was aimed to determine what kind of results the use of insect education in education and training processes revealed and the research carried out within the scope of the subject was examined. In the results of the research, it was determined that the educational processes in which insect education is applied increase the awareness of the environment and insects in the students, and similarly reduce prejudices, fear, and cultural disgust. In line with these results, it is understood that insect education has positive effects on students.
